What is our history

On April 25, 2015, around noon, the earthquake struck Nepal. 7.8 on the Richter scale. A shock wave hits the country. More than 8,000 people lose their lives, 25,000 are injured.

Pierre-Vladimir Lobadowsky and Mathilde Forissier who arrived the day before in Kathmandu for a week's holiday as lovers, die hand in hand on Durbar Square at the age of 27 and 26.

Their parents and a few friends created the Association "a Village under the Stars" in their memory on February 14, 2018.
Based in Paris, it is composed entirely of volunteers.

The path taken by the Association to implement the village project
is worthy of a first trek in the Himalayas.
3 trips from East to West of the country, many meetings with lawyers, local and international NGOs,
visits to different childcare
facilities lead to a partnership with the Association 'Opportunity Village Nepal' on May 12, 2019.
This Association has been established in Nepal since 1998.
It is animated by the Good Shepherd Sisters.
